Cocobolo is a truly exotic hardwood that is known for being a very dense, stable, and durable wood. It is a true rosewood. There are almost no other woods as dense as Cocobolo. Cocobolo is found in Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, and Panama and is a very popular wood amongst luthiers, furniture builders, and really; pretty much anyone who creates anything out of wood. It's an incredibly beautiful wood that is strong, durable, and fairly easy to work in my experience.
